2K-PU Adhesive 500g – Dark Brown
Our 2K-PU adhesive lets you coat your terrarium quickly, safely, and effectively. Unlike epoxy resin, it cures flexible, remains elastic, and does not become brittle – perfect for long-term use in humid terrarium environments. The adhesive is already dyed dark brown, creating a natural-looking base color.
🌿 For rainforest & desert setups 💧 Moisture resistant 🧱 Flexible – no brittleness 🧰 Easy to apply
Application
First, create your desired structure inside the terrarium using styrofoam panels or PU foam. Then, mix the 2K-PU adhesive according to the instructions and apply it evenly with a brush.
For rainforest terrariums, we recommend generously sprinkling dry, untreated humus onto the fresh adhesive and pressing it in lightly. This creates a natural surface that mosses and plants can root into. For desert terrariums, you can instead use sand or other substrates.
Results & Curing
After approx. 24 hours, the coating is fully cured and flexible, so the terrarium can be watered and planted. The surface remains moisture-resistant, elastic, and durable – ideal for permanent high humidity.
Coverage & Yield
1 kg covers approx. 0.6–0.7 m² (depending on structure and thickness). For more detailed or heavily textured designs, consumption may be higher.
Safety & Notes
- Always wear gloves and safety goggles when handling.
- Ensure good ventilation – handle isocyanates with care.
- Observe pot life: only mix as much as you can apply immediately.
- Do not add animals until the adhesive has completely cured.
Scope of delivery: 500g 2K-PU adhesive consisting of resin and hardener (pre-colored dark brown).
